Capital of Poland since 1596, Warsaw is commonly known as “the phoenix city”. It was reduced to ashes at 84% during the Second World War. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since it was completely rebuilt.

Zamek Królewski w Warszawie

The Royal Castle of Warsaw was the official residence of the Polish monarchs. It is now a museum. The building was rebuilt in the 1970s in Mannerist and Baroque styles.

Pałac Kultury i Nauki

The Palace of Culture and Science is the tallest building in the city. It was completed in 1955 and has become a symbol of communist Warsaw. It is home to theaters, museums, cafes and a cinema.
