Lübeck is a Hanseatic city located in the north of Germany in the Land of Schleswig-Holstein. It was the capital of the Hanseatic League and an important port on the Baltic Sea. Lübeck has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, notably for its superb red brick monuments.
